We are now classed as a Dementia Friendly Practice. To attain this we have had to put in place and undertake the following action plan:
1. Set-up a Dementia Support Group – this group has been organised by a patient at the surgery and the first meeting is set for Friday 28th April (see Support Groups page for other dates)
2. Hold a Dementia Awareness Event – this has been organised for the 3rd week in May at the Practice
3. Promote Awareness of Dementia – information is on our patient information screens and a Dementia Awareness talk has been held for all staff members at the Practice
4. Set-up a ‘Worried About Your Memory’ Drop-in clinic – the first clinic is to be held on Wednesday 10th May, patients can contact reception for more information
