Patient Access

What is Patient Access?

With patient access you can:

•Order repeat prescriptions on-line

•Book a GP appointment on-line

•View your medical records

How do I register?

Patients aged 16 years old* and over will need to show their own photo I.D. to a receptionist at any of our surgeries who will provide you with a consent form to sign and a patient information leaflet to read then you will be issued with a registration letter to set-up your on-line account.

*Advice from our CCG is that the surgery cannot provide children’s access details due to confidentiality issues.

Is my information secure?

All information that is sent to your surgery via EMIS Access is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Only you and your GP surgery are able to see this information

Ordering prescriptions

Please allow 48 hours for your prescription to be issued when ordering on-line. If you are a patient that can have their prescription dispensed from our Wheaton Aston branch – can you please type in free text that you would like it to be dispensed, otherwise we will assume you want your prescription printed to be collected from Brewood Surgery.

Booking appointments

You can book a GP appointment 1-28 days ahead. Please note that appointments at our branch surgeries: Coven & Wheaton Aston should only be booked by patients who live in the catchment area for these surgeries. All patients can book appointments at Brewood Surgery.

You can cancel appointments on-line but we ask that you cancel no later than 1 hour before your appointment time. If you do need to cancel an appointment that is within 1 hour, we ask that you telephone the surgery so we can avoid wasted appointments.

Viewing medical records

You can view your medical records on-line using Patient Access.

You can view most aspects of your medical records – problems, consultations, repeat medication, allergies and some clinical letters.
